About Me

I completed my Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology at the University of Pretoria and my internship at Weskoppies Hospital in Pretoria-West. I am registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Clinical Psychologist.

I started with my private practice in 1984 on a part time basis but left the corporate world shortly after to build a full-time practice in Pretoria.

My focus is on psychotherapy, and I am a volunteer at Trauma and Support Centers between my regular appointments and duties. I mainly work with adults, young adults and teenagers in High School, I have been involved with companies regarding interventions based on sessions with their members of staff with regard to personal and emotional problems as well as training of life skills. I also did evaluation regarding performance of individuals within companies.

I have been a lecturer at the Witwatersrand Technicon whilst being part of a superb team at their Student Counselling Bureau where I had the position as Clinical Psychologist.

During the past 15 years I became involved in the treatment of substance abuse and worked in conjunction with facilities registered with The Pathway Group of Treatment Centers located in the United Kingdom. It became such a big problem amongst our youth and the fight against this war will never stop.

I have learned over the years that we can never have enough knowledge or understanding about being and about life and that we will forever grow and learn more about the very essence of our beings in this life
